New Writing Submissions

Project Spatula are now accepting new writing submissions. We are looking for original, visual and exciting stories to bring to life in a short film.
 
If you have an idea that you would like to see on screen, all you need to do is send us:
 
1) A 25 word logline (brief summary) that states the central conflict, characters and emotional hook of the story.
2) A 300 word detailed synopsis of how the story plays out. No cliffhangers please! We want to see the full idea.
 
Send your idea to info@projectspatula.com. The deadline for idea submissions is 30th September 2017.

Terms & Conditions

1) Idea must be specifically for a short film i.e. 10 minutes in duration or less.
2) We are NOT looking for completed scripts at this time. Only basic ideas.
3) If you are selected, you will be invited to join the Spatula Writer’s Committee to discuss and develop the project.
4) It is our plan that writers will then be paired up with one of our own writers to produce a final screenplay.
5) We want to stress that no money will be paid out. Currently, Project Spatula is void of funding, and are unable to pay ourselves, and any future monies that are received will go towards the funding of the projects.
6) When credited for the film, you will be given a “Story by” credit at the very least. You will be the sole name under this credit. Depending on the work put in to the script, it is possible to also get a “Screenplay by” credit.
7) Production of the selected and developed screenplays will take place in 2018.
